Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer
  • Pastry cutter or food processor
  • 9-inch pie dish
  • Rolling pin (if making homemade crust)
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula
  • Wire rack

Ingredients

  • For the Crust:
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter cold, cubed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2-3 tablespoons cold water
  • For the Filling:
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • For the Topping Optional:
  • 1/2 cup crushed peanuts
  • Drizzle of chocolate sauce

Instructions

  • Prepare the Crust: In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or food processor until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add cold water gradually and mix until the dough comes together.
  • Roll out the dough and press it into a 9-inch pie dish. Chill for 30 minutes.
  • Bake the Crust: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the chilled crust for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool completely.
  • Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the peanut butter, cream cheese, and softened butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing well. Slowly pour in heavy cream and beat until light and fluffy.
  • Assemble the Pie: Pour the filling into the cooled crust and smooth the top with a spatula. Sprinkle crushed peanuts and drizzle chocolate sauce if desired.
  • Chill & Serve: Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours or overnight for the best texture. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

You can use a store-bought pie crust for convenience.
Crunchy peanut butter can be used for added texture.
For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for some of the cream cheese.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
